It’s important that people are aware of all the different types of claims because although they are supposedly now widespread, legal claims can still be complex.  This Blog looks at these differences and explores why variances occur in the process of litigation.

Making an accident claim is much more straightforward than it used to be. Although it can still take much longer than initially thought, this means that the whole process can become a lot faster.

Firstly, you need to find a solicitor to make a personal injury claim. Being guided through the process by a good solicitor is important so make sure you find one with whom you can communicate and trust.

The reason that there are no hard and fast rules to making an accident claim is that there are so many different types of accidents that people can have and so various types of claims exist.

If you fall on the pavement, for example because it has not been maintained correctly, then your accident claim will be against the local authority (council).Certain jobs require protective equipment, so if you slipped at work and your employer had not provided you with this equipment, then you would be making an employment based accident claim.

You might, on the other hand be claiming from a road traffic accident, where you were injured by either a motorcar or motorbike.

Peculiarities comes with each type of accident so two claims made in the same category does not neccessarily make them the same.If your employer manages to reach an agreement then your claim for example, may be settled quite quickly.  But if your employer resists the case being brought and fights it all the way, then it can take much longer.

Law firms are used to people making claims for accidents so don’t be shy when asking for advice on all aspects of your claim. Timescales for gathering evidence and making a claim may be in place; this is important to note. Hence find a good UK solicitor as soon as you can, to ensure that the process can be as smooth and hassle free as possible.
