What is the best pain relief to take after surgery?

I have had my gallbladder out, I am on co -dryamol but they dont seem to be that great at relief, I cant take ibuprofen etc any ideas? I think i am justbeing desperate now, of course I expected some pain , but for how long? anyone else had this done?

the pain will diminish on a daily basis, especially if you keep moving about and walking as much as you can. I had mine out, went home the same day, and went back to work the day after. No pain at all….but everyone is different. I just know the more you move about and keep active, the less it hurts.

it may be hard to get (because people use it for a high:() but oxecotten my mom took it after she hade surjery you cant buy it you have to ask youre doctor

Oxy’s but you don’t need that strong of a pain killer and the doctor would never prescribe that. Call your Doctor and ask for Vicodin ES. But be careful. It’s easy to get addicted to.

Odds are your doctor won’t give you pain meds because people are selling them.
If he believes you are in pain ask for oc or percocet.

Vicodin is the only thing that doesn’t make me sick. OxyCotin is for long term pain, not a few days of post-surgerical pain. My mom had her gallbladder out and didn’t take one pain pill; she was back up and back to normal in 2 days.
